Nicholas De Lacy-Brown: Apprentice Candidate Profile

Poor old Nicholas. Fired from The Apprentice before I even had a chance to profile him. More as a memorial than a preview, here’s his biography.Nicholas De Lacy-Brown The Apprentice Fired

Nicholas came to The Apprentice with experience as a barrister, artist and property developer. He has exhibited paintings of each of Shakespeare’s 37 plays. He has a LLB law degree and MA in medical law and ethics and a shameful GCSE grade B in French.

Nicholas De Lacy-Brown is not his real name. ‘De Lacy’ is an affectation used to make himself seem posh. He says of it, “My name is very distinctive. De Lacy is a beautiful name. It gets me noticed in business and life.” Getting yourself noticed in the early stages of The Apprentice is not a very good move. Undoubtedly the best tactic is to lay low for a few episodes.

Nicholas De Lacy Brown The Apprentice paintingNicholas’s website is very strange affair. It focuses more on his art than his business and his appearance on The Apprentice (perhaps that should have been a tip off that he wouldn’t do well). On the show, he compared himself to Dali. You can judge how incredibly wrong that is for yourself.
