Here Comes the Rest of Our Lives
Here Comes the Rest of Our Lives is the song sung at the end of American Idol as a contestant leaves the show.
Who sings Here Comes the Rest of Our Lives?
The song is performed by Graham Colton and its real name is ‘Best Days (Here Comes the Rest of Our Lives)’.
Here’s a live, acoustic performance of the Here Comes the Rest of Our Lives by Graham Colton:
Graham Coulton has had a long career already and has supported acts such as Counting Crows, The Dave Matthews Band and Kelly Clarkson. He signed a record deal in 2004 with his band to Universal records. Releasing one record with his band and later a solo record in 2007 called ‘Here Right Now’.
Hopefully, the song’s use in American Idol for the end of audition montage and at other times later in the show will launch his career up to where it deserves to be. After putting out such great music, it’s great to see him getting more recognition. With a strength of a back catalogue behind him, there is nothing stopping him becoming the next American Idol rather than the whoever turns out to win the American Idol competition. It is certainly likely that Graham Colton will have a longer and more productive career thanks to Here Comes the Rest of Our Lives.
